Adani Health City (AHC), a group of integrated health campuses developed through the Adani Group's not-for-profit healthcare arm, was inaugurated by Gautam Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Group. Embedded in Gautam Adani's social philosophy-"Service is meditation, service is prayer, and service is God"-the initiative aims to establish Adani Health Cities which, in his view, constitute a lasting legacy.
The Adani family has committed over Rs 6,000 crore toward establishing the first two integrated health campuses, in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, as part of the Rs 10,000 crore commitment made by the Group for social causes during the wedding celebrations of Jeet Adani. The long-term projection is to extend the Adani Health Cities throughout towns and cities across India, thus addressing the problem of healthcare accessibility and affordability. Each Adani Health City will comprise a 1,000-bed multi-super specialty hospital, a medical college, step-down and transitional care institutions, and research centers focusing on cutting-edge clinical studies, artificial intelligence in medicine, and biomedical informatics.
Mayo Clinic Global Consulting and Adani Group have forged an alliance that will strengthen the framework of Adani Health City. The tie-up will enable Adani Health City to practice global best practices in patient care and medical operations, improve clinical excellence with expert guidance in technology integration and hospital management, and focus on digital and information technology that enhances healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
Mayo Clinic is the world's largest integrated not-for-profit medical group practice, and it will ensure that all international healthcare standards are met at Adani Health City for complex disease care and medical innovation. "And I assure the entire public that this is a tie-up that is going to drive excellence in healthcare standards in the country, particularly in the focus areas of complex disease care and medical innovation," says Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group.
The Adani Group wants to touch millions of lives by creating an integrated healthcare ecosystem nationwide. Developing an effective healthcare ecosystem will thus be the combined efforts of independent healthcare providers in the country and their alliances across the world to address challenges of affordability, accessibility, and medical education. New healthcare infrastructures in India would be favorable to elevating access to high-quality medical care as a right for all citizens. With the ceremonial glare of Mayo Clinic's strategic direction, Adani Health City will become a shining beacon of medical excellence towards making India a frontrunner in international healthcare.
