Cisco has come up with a whole range of solutions to further Artificial Intelligence-enabled connectivity and data center optimization. For service providers, these slew of innovations were supposed to help in combating extreme data loads, providing high-bandwidth connectivity, and monetizing services that support AI workload. With this in mind, Cisco's Agile Services Networking architecture lays out a roadmap to allow service providers to make further gains from AI-driven opportunities.

Cisco Unveils AI-Optimized Infrastructure

As artificial intelligence continues in ushering digital transformation, the very challenges of network service providers in managing massive flows of data and ensuring seamless connectivity will be a boon for them. AI is an impetus for network service providers, who will see a plethora of new digital workers in AI agents coacting and communicating all at once. Cisco Agile Services Networking therefore is the blueprint for service providers to harvest all the AI opportunities in compelling high-bandwidth secure energy-efficient connectivity.

New AI Infrastructure and Networking Solutions

To help telecommunications persons build AI-ready infrastructures, Cisco has introduced several cutting-edge solutions such as the extension of the Cisco Silicon One and Cisco 8000 portfolios for access, edge, and metro networks; the release of the Cisco Silicon One A100 and K100 devices for fixed, centralized, and modular systems; and the utilization of the Cisco Coherent Pluggable Optics for extended Routed Optical Networking. These solutions cover widely deployed 100G ports the new 800G ports and ultra-long-haul applications and can connect locations as far apart as 3,000 kilometers. The AI-based predictive analytics are used for near-real-time network capacity planning and resource management through Cisco Crosswork Network Automation and Provider Connectivity Assurance, both of which integrate with Splunk for rapid resolution of any network issues.

Sustainability and Energy Efficiency in AI Infrastructure

Cisco introduces Agile Service Networking architecture and circular product lifecycle programs to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. It helps customers reduce up to 324 tons of CO2 and consume up to 80% less power compared to what conventional centralized deployments consume through an AI-optimized infrastructure. It also launched the Cisco Nexus 9300 Series Smart Switches which combine built-in data processing units (DPUs) to facilitate AI data center operations. Programmable AMD DPUs will be utilized to enhance performance, service agility, and their scalable benefits; coupled with Cisco Hypershield, the security-centric solution integrated directly into the network fabric.

Revolutionizing Data Center Security with Hypershield

Cisco Hypershield is the fantastic security answer that has been built for the era of artificial intelligence workload because it has so much in the internal data center switching layer including the metered-in security, autonomous segmentation policies, real-time security updates, multi-domain policy enforcement, and persona-driven operations. Such innovations will allow service providers to scale, secure, and optimize their infrastructures as they usher in a new world of high bandwidth, low-energy, and secure AI data centers. Cisco has come a long way in AI connectivity, network automation, and security, and will move on into the changing digital world as organizations continue to prepare for managing the workload complexity involved with AI. The AI-optimized infrastructure solutions will help service providers meet their AI demands and build better sustainable, high-performance networks in the future.
