Netsmart, a well-known healthcare IT services vendor to agencies providing community care, has been confirmed as a participant in the upcoming 2025 Winter Conference of the Mental Health Corporations of America (MHCA) to be held in Clearwater, Florida. The agenda for the conference will primarily cover technologies like Artificial Intelligence and automation in the field of mental health healthcare with a little touch of improving electronic health records systems, the processes within such systems, and the various clinical workflows.
Such technological solutions are offered by Netsmart, hence they have developed technology-driven services that are reshaping healthcare and the provision of care, with Netsmart AI-powered service, more especially the AI assistant commonly referred to as Bells. This functions to provide relief to caregivers by handling most of the administrative duties and thereby helps them exercise their core functions of patient care. The Winter Conference & Annual Meeting will be held from the 25th to the 27th of February in Clearwater, Florida.
AI can improve documentation by health organizations with proven AI approaches such as Bells, using NLP to interpret claims and improve the quality of language. Bells began with 6.5 million clinical recommendations made in 2024, and 2.2 million of them have already been signed as notes. It is also a part of the telehealth workflows of Netsmart, and it ensures that remote consultations are smooth and easy. Over 10 years, Netsmart has redesigned healthcare by providing solutions such as AlphaCollector(tm) and Benny, an e-assistant for the prevention of fraud and abuse in billing events. Netsmart further helps users access information on an issue within seconds, with Otto as the "virtual support assistant".
Introducing a mobile healthcare delivery clinic at mhca 2025, Netsmart partnered with Vandoit. These are units powered by Netsmart systems to facilitate live tele-tech triage, retrieve electronic medical records of patients, locate patients, etc. These qualities of the Netsmart technology may facilitate the provision of mental health services to remote areas. In particular, the board discussed the incorporation of AI into healthcare and the correlated issues of implementing it within the model with a focus on understanding how AI can be trust-building rather than distrusting, on using technology while not allowing technology to lead us, and on what constitutes appropriate use of AI. Most importantly, the activities performed at mhca included awareness levels presented in the form of a preparation and motivation effect of a readiness assessment for AI integration whereas applying AI to the facilities to either increase their capacity or decrease the rack rates fall costs and improve delivery, of clinical care.
During its latest events, Netsmart introduced new products as well as honored the works of important personnel such as Dale Shreve’s stepping down and Kiara Kuenzler becoming mhca’s new President and CEO. The company is excited to engage with mhca and support the innovation in behavioral health technology. To see everything that Netsmart has to offer, the conference can head to Netsmart’s booth as well as go to the mobile crisis van. There is a continuing effort from Netsmart to address the need for technology that is supportive of community-based care, so patients get better and mental health is enhanced.
